DEBORAH E. BLASTIC

BS, CADC

Deborah’s career in Addiction Counseling began in 1992 at Eugenia Psychiatric Hospital working with drug and alcohol addictions with women inflicted with sexual abuse and eating disorders. In 1998 she joined University of Pennsylvania/Hall Mercer in Philadelphia. She was charged in devising a new program for a unique population with mental health issues and substance abuse. She designed and formulated this structured program from the ground up. Her main goal is to assist clients in obtaining sobriety, helping to heal broken relationships, engaging actively in their lives, and recognizing new possibilities.

In Deborah’s private practice of the last 25 years, working with families and partners, she developed an expertise in couple’s counseling. This led her to pursue continued education to become a trained Imago Therapist. Imago Therapy is designed to provide a safe space for two people to communicate in a more structured manner. The goal is that each person will have their voice heard while learning the art of listening. Deborah’s fullfillment has been in assisting her clients to create a new freedom and a new happiness.
